DIPLOMATIC CONCIERGE:
The newly renovated London Hilton on Park Lane, a luxury icon in the heart of Mayfair

Since its grand debut in 1963 as the very first Hilton to open in the UK, the London Hilton on Park Lane has since become a defining feature of Mayfair’s skyline and a cornerstone of British hospitality. Located in one of London's most prestigious neighbourhoods, the hotel blends timeless elegance with modern luxury — offering panoramic views over Hyde Park and easy access to iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and the Palace of Westminster, so often frequented by London’s diplomatic community.
Part of the globally renowned Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand, which spans over 600 properties across six continents, the London Hilton on Park Lane exemplifies the company’s century-long commitment to delivering world-class guest experiences. Today, Hilton operates more than 8,300 properties in 138 countries and has hosted over three billion guests — a testament to its founding vision of spreading the light and warmth of hospitality.
The ideal location means the property is one of London’s finest venues for meetings and social gatherings, and the hotel offers eight contemporary meeting rooms with capacities ranging from eight to 55 guests. Each space is equipped with the latest technology and enhanced by abundant natural light — ideal for corporate events, private functions, and boardroom sessions. The hotel recently played host to this magazine’s annual event in April. The Wellington Ballroom more than comfortably accommodated 200 diplomatic guests for the 2025 IHG Diplomat of the Year awards, with its vast windows overlooking leafy Hyde Park.
The hotel’s Grand Ballroom stands out as one of the largest and most impressive events spaces in London, accommodating up to 1,350 guests for a reception. This grand space is perfect for national day receptions, gala dinners, and large-scale conferences.

The property features 453 guest rooms, including 56 luxurious suites, all recently renovated to reflect a refined, contemporary style. From deluxe and executive rooms to the standout one-bedroom Park Lane Suites and the Ambassador Suite, every space is thoughtfully designed to offer comfort, style, and natural daylight — along with modern amenities such as plasma TVs, and dedicated workspaces.
We were fortunate to spend the night in a suite on the fifteenth floor, which offered breathtaking views of the lush foliage of Hyde Park. The sitting area featured a large sofa and a versatile table suitable for both dining and work. The beautifully appointed bedroom overlooked the cityscape along Park Lane, and the suite also included a luxurious marble bathroom. Despite being in the heart of the city, it was remarkably peaceful being that high up.
Guests in executive rooms and suites enjoy access to the Executive Lounge, offering all-day refreshments, and exclusive check-in and concierge services. The Presidential Suite, on the 27th floor with its sweeping city views and expansive living space, provides an exceptional setting for discerning guests with separate entertaining space.
The Hilton on Park Lane’s newly renovated dining spaces are also a highlight. The Park Corner Brasserie celebrates modern British cuisine with a seasonal menu of vibrant flavours and locally sourced ingredients. Signature dishes include a perfectly grilled 300g ribeye steak, a decadent crispy lobster roll served with butter lobster sauce, and a comforting wild mushroom orzo — all served in an elegant, relaxed setting.

For drinks and social gatherings, Revery Bar is a stylish destination that transitions effortlessly from day to night. Mornings begin with artisanal coffee, while evenings feature expertly crafted cocktails, bold new concoctions, and timeless classics — making it a must-visit for locals and travellers alike.
The hotel’s 24-hour fitness centre, located on the lower ground floor, features state-of-the-art cardio machines and free weights. Guests can also unwind in the sauna or steam room, or indulge in a tranquil spa treatment at the London Hilton Club.
Over the decades, the hotel has become a trusted home away from home for the diplomatic community and visiting dignitaries. With a long-standing reputation for discreet and specialised service, dynamic team members Georgina Evagora (Director of Sales) and Marcia Pullen (Diplomatic Sales Manager) are well-known for coordinating VIP visits, royal stays, and high-level delegations with ease and professionalism. Their attention to detail and diplomatic expertise make the hotel a preferred destination for embassies and consulates from around the world.
The London Hilton on Park Lane is more than a luxury hotel — it’s a London institution. Combining heritage, innovation, and exceptional service, it is expertly placed to cater for official delegations and high-profile guests.
